    Hi , have just joined the forum , i am employed full time in red squirrel conservation and as a result work out in them there woods and i love it .Basically i monitor red squirrel populations but my main part of my job is to control grey squirrels . If i can be of any help to anyone in this field give me a shout cheers rsrjerry .. cheers fishingwalkies for pointing me in this direction

    No problems mate, I am hoping you can give us a few tips and pointers on the habits of our local greys, being a bushcraft site its not about our "usual" method of control but any other methods you may have, especially on their habits in the wild, to enable us to learn a little more about them, their feeding habits, even down to the ways in which they nest, as we may be able to pick up tips from them to do with shelter,

    I know personally that when greys are feeding in horse chestnut trees, they tend to drop more nuts than they can manage to get out of the prickly cases and so standing beneath a few of them feeding in a tree usually means a FREE feed for me!!!!!
