After seeking advice and thinking about ease of use i decided that a "pop-up" tent would be sufficent, however i dropped on one for £15 that has an umbrella mechanism that erects the tent itself, it takes a few minutes to get up and a little longer to get back into the bag, but it is very spacious considering it is supposed to be a 2 man...., now as the first use will be in February and it is single skinned i bought 2 camoflauge tarps off a certain auction site for a total of around £30....

so a normal 2 skinned popup tent retails for around £80 upwards and a regatta popup in argos is £50 but is single skinned, i am of the opinion i got a bargain even though i have to throw a tarp under and over the tent, that should give me a small space on the outside of the tent to store my kit and possibly cook a meal or make a brew.
