I made a garrote for the wife but haven't had the courage to try it out yet.

One more complaint about the kit I've been buying and I'll post a review of it here!

I used paracord to make a handle for one of my knives. It uses a Japanese style as used on Japanese swords.

I used some para cord (over 15 years old) the other day to tie my large pruning saw to my body when climbing a tree. Took me ages to get up this tree and I only went and dropped my flipping saw:mad:
Mind you after that it just kept snagging on everything. I don't think this really counts as making something though:eek:

I need to practise making things out of para cord more (as I have a fair bit of it knocking about)

I see a few people are adept at lanyards, bracelets and key fobs. Has anyone ever tried to make a belt I wonder?

My first ever para cord experience was converting 15mtrs of it into a quick release belt, it took fecking ages to make, tested it out (it worked well) and then just bundled into a pocket and thought i will remake that later on and still to this day its bundled in the pocket on my kit bag :hp-rolleyes:

I think as there are going to be a couple of expert paracordists at the bushy, for me to potentially learn from, I may have a go at a belt myself. And if any of said paracordist find themselves without adequate seating at the meet, I would be happy to trade my 'deluxe' tripod camping stool, for any advice they care to share with me :)

Best weave for a first belt is Cobra Weave, but make sure you use a good size of buckle, but i mean, i made one :)
